Fragrance Packaging: Flacons, Sprayers and Rigid Boxes

Fragrance is the most component-heavy category we handle. Five parts must align visually and mechanically, and the box has to protect a heavy glass object through distribution.

Fragrance Packaging formats for beauty brands

Short answer

Fragrance packs combine a glass flacon, a crimp or screw sprayer, a collar, an overcap and a rigid or folding box. Alcohol compatibility of the gasket and dip tube is the most common failure point, so components are verified before production.

What decides the pack

Four variables account for most of the specification. Get these right and the rest is design.

Common formats

  • 50ml crimp-neck flacon
  • 30ml screw-neck flacon
  • 100ml flacon with Surlyn cap
  • 10ml travel spray

Neck system

FEA 15 crimp gives the cleanest look and a tighter seal but needs crimping equipment; screw necks suit small-batch filling.

Alcohol compatibility

Gaskets, dip tubes and any decoration in contact with juice are tested against high-alcohol content.

Overcap weight

Zamac and Surlyn caps deliver prestige weight; ABS keeps cost and freight down. Fit tolerance must be tight either way.

Transit protection

Inserts are built around the flacon's centre of gravity, and the packed unit is drop-tested rather than the box alone.

Fragrance Packaging FAQ

A standardised crimp neck used across fragrance, which allows sprayers from different suppliers to fit the same flacon. It is the most common prestige fragrance neck system.

Yes — flacon, sprayer, collar, overcap, box and insert quoted and delivered as one specification, with fit verified on physical samples before production.

It depends on the specification. Stock containers with labelling start low; custom colour, decoration and moulds raise the minimum. For custom paper boxes the standard minimum order quantity is 5,000 pieces per design, and selected paper box projects may start from a few hundred pieces subject to evaluation of the structure, material, printing method and finishing. Send the item and target quantity and we will quote the real minimum for that exact configuration rather than a generic figure.

Yes — standard samples, decoration samples and pre-production samples. Standard samples are usually available quickly; customised samples are quoted with the project because they require set-up.

Yes, through masterbatch resin colour, spray coating on glass or plastic, or printed colour on cartons. Coating gives full Pantone freedom at a lower minimum; masterbatch is more durable but needs a larger volume.
