Sampling
Request Packaging Samples
Packaging decisions should be made in the hand, not on a screen. Tell us what you are evaluating and we will confirm what is available, what it costs and how quickly it can ship.

Standard samples
Catalogue items in stock finishes, sent for hand-feel, capacity and closure evaluation. The fastest way to judge whether a format is right before any set-up cost.
Customised samples
Your colour, your finish, your closure combination. These require set-up, so they are quoted with the project and usually credited against a production order.
Decoration samples
A specific print, foil, coating or emboss shown on the actual substrate. Essential when a brand colour or a metallic effect has to be approved physically rather than on screen.
Pre-production samples
Made on production tooling with production decoration, they are the only samples that should be used for final approval before a run starts.

Sampling FAQ
Standard catalogue samples are often provided at no charge for qualified projects, with freight billed to your courier account. Customised and pre-production samples carry a cost because they require set-up, and that cost is usually credited against a subsequent production order.
Stock catalogue samples ship within a few days. Decorated container samples take one to two weeks. Samples can be completed within 10 working days after the final artwork files are confirmed. Shipping time is additional. Pre-production samples made on production tooling are scheduled with the production plan.
It depends on the specification. Stock containers with labelling start low; custom colour, decoration and moulds raise the minimum. For custom paper boxes the standard minimum order quantity is 5,000 pieces per design, and selected paper box projects may start from a few hundred pieces subject to evaluation of the structure, material, printing method and finishing. Send the item and target quantity and we will quote the real minimum for that exact configuration rather than a generic figure.

Yes, through masterbatch resin colour, spray coating on glass or plastic, or printed colour on cartons. Coating gives full Pantone freedom at a lower minimum; masterbatch is more durable but needs a larger volume.
Yes — silk screen printing, UV printing, hot stamping, embossing and labelling. We will advise which method suits your artwork, substrate and quantity, including minimum legible sizes.
